Zippity Zoo Day Files

Zippity Zoo Day (ZZD) is an event founded by Augmentative Communication Technology Supports Board members Pam Harris, David Bennett, and Jill Senner. The events take place every summer at the Brookfield Zoo and is now run by DynaVox systems. Zippity Zoo Day is a community event designed to provide family support and structured communication opportunities for AAC users of all ages and abilities. The files below are free to download and use to set up Zippity Zoo day events in your area.

Many dynamic display users can write and speak within the same application. Download writing templates to use with DynaVox System Software (DSS) or Speaking Dynamically Pro (SDP).

The book report template is based on a "Story Response Form" created by Caroline Musslewhite and was designed to allow students to write simple book reports.

The quiz template allows you to create a 5 question multiple choice "quiz" for students to take using either the DynaVox or Speaking Dynamically Pro.

A journal is also available for download for use with DynaVox System Software. The DynaVox journal pages were modified from setups for IntelliTalk and Overlaymaker created by Pati King-DeBaun. The pages were designed to allow a young child to tell mom and dad what (s)he did in school that day.
