In Australia, there is around 9.73 million smartphones, which is roughly about 40% of total mobile users. This would mean currently there are around 3.43 million iPhone users in Australia. It is expected by 2013, there will be around 5.29 million iphone users be it the 3gs/4/4s or 5. iPhone’s will account for 39.4% of the Australian smartphone market and 20% off the overall mobile market.
The infographic shows some interest statistics in the Australian Smartphone market. For example, by 2013 44% of men would use their phone while in the toilet. With fanatics waiting for the iPhone 4s/5 to come out, it shows Apple is likely to dominate the smartphone marketing for the next 5-7 years.
